Barking Wednesday - Sore Paws

Thanks for joining me for my Barking Wednesday post.
Each week I post stuff about my favorite guy...Kingers and his friends.
All kinds of stuff....products - homemade treat recipes - info I have learned over the years, etc.  Info I think is helpful in making sure that every dog lives a fantastic life.

This past week Kingers and I did quite a bit of walking.  When we got home on day two, I noticed that his paws were sore.  I wanted share with you what I did to make his paws better.

I checked to make sure there was nothing sticking into his paws. Making sure to check between his toes.  I also checked to make sure that none of his nails were hurting him.  When I was sure that there were no foreign objects in his paws I washed his paws with goats milk soap, patted them dry and applied some natural moisturizer that I use on my face. He had no open sores..if he did I always apply triple antibiotic ointment and bandage them.

The next morning he was better. If he was not better then I would of needed to contact the vet.
Happy Halloween!!
I wanted to share this pic of my niece and her favorite bogs!

  14. One thing I have learned is to not walk our dog on the cement. Especially on hot days. The heat on the cement can actually burn the dogs pads on the bottom of their feet. This is great info! Thank you for sharing!

  15. I just love that photo of you and your pups! Great information. I will have to remember this. In the summer when the pavement is hot, I try to make sure my pup walks on the grass. Love your Wednesday series
