I have been making breads and muffins this winter. Here is my recipe for our favorite Cranberry Bread. Tasty dense perfect for a morning snack bread.
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Half & Half
1/2 Cup Water
1 Tablespoon of Maker's Mark Whiskey (optional)
3 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil
2 Cups Flour
1 teaspoon of Salt
4 teaspoons of Baking Powder
1+ Cup of Dried Cranberries
Mix together the eggs and sugar - add milk - water - oil - Maker's Mark Whiskey
Mix well. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
By hand gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture. Fold in dried cranberries.
Pour mixture into a greased 5x12 inch loaf pan350 degrees for approx 60 - 70 minutes - check with a toothpick
