This past week I read a blog post written by Danielle Leigh on her blog
She asked the following questions. I was so intrigued at the emotions these questions arouse in me that I wanted to share with everyone her post and my answers.
These few simple questions - made me really think about ME ~ count my blessing and realize that I do have dreams and I am still reaching for them. I live by the the idea that I can not spend one day without a dream. Everyone must have dreams!
What’s the one thing I've always wanted to do?
I have always wanted to just travel across the USA. Not travel on expressways - but travel small town USA. Take a whole year to reach from the East Coast to the West Coast. Zig zagging my way through every one of the lower 48 states. When I finish my year jump on a plane and land in Alaska to explore for a month. Then hop on a plane for my trip to Hawaii for a month then home.
If I could spend today doing whatever I desire, if I had no obligations today, what would I do?
Fly somewhere for lunch and then come back home! I think that would be a blast!
Where do I really want to live? What city and what type of residence?

Where would I like to visit?
If I could take one trip and only one trip for the rest of my life .... I would like to travel to Yellowstone to Glacier National Park to Oregon coast to the Redwoods of California then head down to San Francisco. In a RV with my hubby, grandchildren and Kingers.
What do I talk about doing but never do it?
I am always talking about renting a RV and traveling the USA!
What are the reasons I don't go after my dreams?
I do try to go after my traveling dreams but there is only so much money for traveling. If I ever win the lottery I will be a full time traveler. Each year I go somewhere fun to visit. I have been to 47 of the 50 states - Oregon - California and Hawaii are still on my Bucket List. Also, my hubby likes to travel but not like me. So I have started traveling with my children and grandchildren - which they have time limits due to their responsibilities.
What are the things in my life that I would like to get rid of?
Let me see
- I for sure want to get rid of having to weed-whack the whole yard. My plan this year is to re-design the landscaping to remove all weed-whacking.
- Walls that need painting - I plan to start painting the minute I can open windows and not stop until every room is painted
Which people in my life inspire me and why?

If I were to make one radical change in my life right now to make life better, what would it be?
Sell our home and start over in a condo or apartment with no maintenance. We currently have over a acre of land on a lake. We have lived in our home for 36 years- great memories but lots of work. Since our home was built in 1946 - we are always doing some type of repairs. Selling and moving on I think would be the best for us...but it is so hard to let go.
How do I feel when I put all my effort into accomplishing one of my goals?
Driven is the word that comes to my mind. When the goal is accomplished I feel Joy and Pride.
How do I feel whenever I achieve a life goal?
Fantastic but also anxious to start the next project. I am the type that is thinking about what is next before I finish the task I am working on. What should I do next? Drives some of my family nuts.
What’s missing from my life?
Gosh this is a hard one for me. I live life each day - changing to meet my present needs. I guess the most important thing I am missing is my love ones that have passed. I miss my Grandfather and Grandmother - My Dad. These were very important people in my life.
Plus, I wish I lived near my Mom and brother. When I was 18 my parents moved about 400 miles away for a promotion. I stayed behind. Living apart from my family has alway been so difficult for me. Raising children and jobs always keep us from moving near them. I wish we had taken the plunge 40 years ago and moved. Now I would never leave my children and grandchildren - they are my life.
Who are your biggest supporters?
My family - hubby - children - grandchildren - brother and Mom. When I retired and started my glass business they were all totally supportive! I can think of so many times when others thought I was nuts - my family told me to go for it! They have always been there for me.
Who gets in the way of me achieving my goals?
Me ... I am my worst enemy - I know that and I try not to be - but sometimes I slip!
What would your answers to these questions be? Give it a try - think about each question and see if you find yourself in your answers!
