Blueberry Bread with Lemon Glaze Frosting

At the Farmer's Market I picked up some fresh blueberries. One of our favorite treats is Blueberry Bread with Lemon Glaze.  This dense bread is a perfect addition to a fresh cup of coffee and a beautiful sun rise.
Blueberry Bread with Lemon Glaze
2 Eggs - beaten
1 Cup Sugar
3 Tablespoons of melted Butter
3 Cups Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
4 teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Cup Fresh Blueberries
Mix together eggs & sugar - add milk and melted butter
Sift together all dry ingredients - then gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture
Carefully fold in fresh blueberries
Grease loaf pan - bake 350 degrees for 50 - 60 minutes - use a toothpick to test doneness

Lemon Glaze

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 lemon, zest finely grated
Mix the lemon juice with the confectioners' until dissolved in a microwave-safe bowl.
Whisk in the butter and lemon zest.
Microwave the glaze for 30 seconds - whisk the glaze to smooth out any lumps
Drizzle the glaze over the top of the bread.
Let it set a minute before serving.
